Alessia Cara drops cover to SZA‘s “Drew Barrymore.” Saturday afternoon (Sep 9), Canadian singer- songwriter Alessia Cara dropped off her own take of SZA’s “Drew Barrymore” single from the latter’s debut studio effort CTRL. “Had this laying around for a bit so I decided to post it,” Cara wrote in the description that accompanied the track. “This album is magic,” she further added of CTRL.
Cara is no stranger to covers. In the past, she’s also redone tracks including Frank Ocean’s “Super Rich Kids,” Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself,” and Drake’s “Hotline Bling.” Meanwhile, SZA is not new to being covered. Khalid recently tried his hand with “Love Galore” and “The Weekend.” Miguel also redid the latter, while K Camp remixed the same cut.
